Acronyms, Acronyms Everywhere!

Is it just me, or are acronyms taking over? In our society, everyone is using acronyms to shorten a term in their industry and all these acronyms start to build up to the point where nobody even knows what they mean. I bet most of the people reading this article do not even know what NASA stands for! (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) But who could blame you! Acronyms are all around us; IRS, CIA, CPA, FBI, IBM, even the words laser and radar are acronyms!! (Light amplification by the stimulated emission of radiation/ Radio detecting and ranging) The longest acronym in the world (according to Guinness Book of World Records) is 56 English characters. With all of these acronyms to remember, I am going to struggle to remember what LOL and IDK means!

The other bizarre thing about acronyms is that even if you hear the expanded version, they sometimes still do not make sense. So when you hear the term ERP or Enterprise Resource Management, you probably deduce that it refers to managing resources in an enterprise, but do you know what it really entails? That is why I am here, to help you understand this new acronym that can help save your business from falling behind in this ever changing technological world.

Using an ERP system like Acumatica, your employees will be able to manage the operations, finance and accounting for your company all from a cloud based system. Utilizing this system, real time data about your company’s progress and revenue is accessible from any smart-phone, tablet, or computer. This system has the ability to replace many different systems that you may be using today (such as Quickbooks) and centralize all the different databases and websites that you use to conduct your daily business. As a C-suite executive, you will have the ability to view all aspects of the business in every department you select and set up custom dashboards that show visuals and charts of real time data. Also, with the feature of role-based logins, your employees can be assigned to certain roles where they can only see the data applicable to them. For instance, a salesman in your business will have access to information on leads and their clients – they will not have access to information that does not relate to their role. Acumatica also has a customer resource management system or CRM (Oh yay, another acronym!) where you can store contacts for leads and send out marketing campaigns for your company.

Acumatica is the system your company needs for ERP. Be sure to check out ERP Made Simple and TRI Solutions for more information about ERP systems and Acumatica. We will be happy to set up a free demo for your company and show you how we can integrate this remarkable system into your business.
