Small business with a 40 year history as a first class materials science applied research and development firm seeks polymer chemist with extensive experience in hands on laboratory formulation and optimization of new, patentable, high performance polymer materials such as coatings, molding compounds, adhesives, resins, sealants, and foams. Candidate must have a proven track record of developing new patentable materials and transitioning them into successful products for the Defense and/or private sector.

Requirements

Experience managing project/contract budgets and writing and winning research proposals is required. Education: Required: BS; Desirable: M.S or Ph.D.. Experience with chemical synthesis is a plus. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain an industrial security clearance are mandatory. Candidates with active or recent security clearances are preferred. Candidate must be a self starter, creative, and organized team player with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
