The Role: Lead Product Designer
The Location: Austin, TX
We are currently seeking a Senior Product Designer who will be responsible for research, design, testing, and integrating feedback into our website product. You will be responsible for the end-to-end user experience and will work closely on the larger customer experience. You will work with all disciplines across the company including designers, researchers, product managers, developers, marketing, and sales.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in cross-team design tasks: Help ensure presentations to partners and investors follow the brand and system design rule; Create marketing assets for web and social advertising campaigns; Work to design and finalize custom marketing landing pages
- Illustrations created in Illustrator on an as-needed basis
- Creation of image assets for sharing to social media including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
- General content creation and organization
- Building and organization of the company’s design system in Figma and other applications (Icon creation, Creation of Figma library, Helping define brand structure and rules)
- Assist in design thinking workshops with partner stakeholders and users
- User Research using tools such as surveys, UserTesting.com, in person interviews, and distance interviews (Ability to create, deliver, and present user research findings in the form of user personas, user flows, reports, sitemaps, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes)
- Creating interactive prototypes using Figma
- 10 years’ experience
- BA/BS degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with the full life cycle of product design experiences
- Experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, designers and experience working with collaborators across time zones
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
- Portfolio that shows examples of design you’ve done as well as how you got there, including but not limited to sketches, wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes
- Solid UX skills, with the ability to iterate through conceptual ideas and effectively communicate conceptualizations using sketches, storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, data visualizations, and storyboards
- Familiarity with planning and facilitating user research and usability tests
- Familiarity with creating designs, from concept through prototyping, with the following programs and technologies –
- Design Tools experience:
– Figma
– Adobe Creative Suite
- General Office Tools
– Mac Computers
– Jira/Confluence
– Slack
– Microsoft office suite
– Google Hangoutspps
– Google Hangouts
Bonus Qualifications:
? MA/MS degree in Design, HCI, CS, or a related field
? Expert with design tools (e.g. Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop) to produce both low and high
fidelity design deliverables
? Experience working with web or mobile based technologies such as HTML, CSS, and React
? Experience developing and refining brand and providing overall creative direction for
larger projects
? Experience leading UX Research.
? Motion design experience
? Animated Interaction Design
